About me.

(it’s not about me, it’s about you)

I’m a therapist.  I love to help people grow, heal and become more of the person they want to be so they can feel more fullness in their lives and their relationships.

My passion in counselling is creating a relationship built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. I consider it a privilege to be able to work with someone through their fears, challenges, and hurts, and help them to experience healing and restoration.  For this reason, I see counselling as an opportunity to help people diminish pain and suffering, cope with the challenges of life (both normal and extraordinary), and experience increased joy, purpose, and self-acceptance.

I enjoy working with people experiencing various issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions and the various impacts of trauma. I work in a trauma informed way and have had further training on working with complex trauma.

I’m skilled at using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Person Centred Counselling, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis and I tailor my approach based on the specific goals and strengths of the client, so that each person experiences therapy that is a good fit for them. The different techniques I use are all evidence-based and are designed to be empowering, with a focus on de-pathologising the person.
